ABI BROWN, LMFT-ASSOCIATE supervised by BILLY MYERS, LMFT-S

Ready to have healthy and happy relationships again?

Hello! My name is Abi Brown and my vision is to provide support to women, especially pregnant or postpartum, along with couples and families, who are starting or growing their families. It is my passion to help those in this season to not only survive it, but thrive in it!

A little bit about me: I completed my training at Sharp Mesa Vista Psychiatric Hospital in San Diego, CA, where I served as a student therapist in the Eating Disorders Outpatient program. My time at Sharp was an incredible experience for learning and application of therapy, as I received training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help treat Eating Disorders, Mood Disorders, and Personality Disorders.

I am eager to bring these evidence-based techniques and training styles to my therapeutic practice, so we can make the most out of our therapy sessions!

My philosophy

While cultivating my own style of therapy, I have found it is important to me to be able to incorporate faith into my practice. My faith has shaped my worldview, and therefore my therapeutic practices. I believe one of the biggest goals in therapy is to receive healing. My experiences have exemplified how difficult it can be to find true healing, without acknowledging Who brings that healing. This is largely why I am eager to offer private practice therapy, so I can provide a more personalized, faith-based service for my clients.

“Life doesn’t get easier or more forgiving, we get stronger and more resilient.”
